北京时间6月3日下午，中国教育部发布了2019年第1号留学预警。该预警指出，一段时间以来，中方部分赴美留学人员的签证受到限制，出现签证审查周期延长、有效期缩短以及拒签率上升的情况，对中方留学人员正常赴美学习或在美顺利完成学业造成影响。对此，教育部提醒广大学生学者出国留学前加强风险评估，增强防范意识，做好相应准备。
申请美签需提供社交媒体账号
特朗普政府不断加强对来美外国人的审查力度。对于非移民签证申请者来说，自今年5月31日起，申请者在线填写DS-160表格时，需要提交自己5年内使用的社交平台及账号名称。
社交平台包括QQ空间、新浪微博、豆瓣、Facebook、Instagram、推特等。 在选择了一个社交平台后，申请人需要在申请表中填写相应平台上的个人账号名称，但没有索要密码。
申请人可以选择“没有社交平台账号”这一选项，若被美国政府发现撒谎，则可能会影响签证通过的几率。
据美国国务院估算，这一新规可能影响约71万移民签证申请者和1400万非移民签证申请者。只有部分外交和公务签证申请者不受此新规影响。
美签面签涉及“贸易战”相关问题
部分准备赴美留学的朋友在美领馆进行签证面签时，被签证官问及中美贸易战的相关问题，来了解他们对于当下中美贸易战的看法。而在面签时回答“不清楚”，“不了解”，“不做评价”的学生，均遭到了拒签。
