Christopher Morik practice focuses on the representation of small businesses, real estate law, litigation, wills and estates.​

Mr. Morik has helped a wide variety of entrepreneurs grows their businesses, both locally and nationally. He assists his business clients, large and small, in all areas including business entity formation, contractual relations with third parties, protection and preservation of business assets, resolution of business disputes, arbitration of disputes and, where necessary, litigation. His clients, many of whom he represented from start-up, include successful retail stores, internet businesses, importers of goods and merchandise, entertainers, security companies and bars and restaurants. Mr. Morik also advises and represents individuals and entities in purchases and sales of real estate. Whether it is an individual purchase of a home or apartment or a corporate sale of a large commercial property, he constantly and regularly communicates with and advises his clients regarding all aspects of the transaction from contract to closing. He also represents his clients in real estate litigation, leasing and mortgage matters. In addition to the above Mr. Morik has successfully litigated civil matters involving accidents, malpractice and wrongful death. He is also experienced in the areas of wills, trusts and estates having practiced for many years in the Surrogate's Court and having prepared wills for clients with a variety of personal and family circumstances.

Kevin

Associate Director| Cushman & Wakefield

Kevin is an Associate Director for Cushman & Wakefield working alongside Senior Managing Director Stephen R. Preuss. He specializes in investment and land sales in outer-boroughs in New York. Throughout his tenure at Cushman & Wakefield, Kevin has valuated and underwritten more than 650 properties and has been involved in the aggregate sale of over $900 million in real estate transactions in the New York Metro area. These sales cover a wide array of assets including commercial, development, and multifamily buildings. Team Preuss is the #1 investment sales team in the outer-boroughs, top 100 producer nationwide, and sold approximately 350 properties worth over $2.4 billion through a 15 year period. Kevin is a member of the China General Chamber of Commerce-USA, AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America) and on the Board of Directors for the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce where he is also the co-chair of the real estate committee.

Stephen

Senior Tax Manager| Frank Hirth

Steve joined Frank Hirth LLC in 2011 as part of the Business Tax Group dealing with various partnerships and corporations. He previously worked at Ernst & Young in the financial services department focussing on US hedge funds and private equity funds.

Steve has experience in US taxation, providing a wide range of partnership and corporation tax compliance and advisory services. Steve also has knowledge of dealing with foreign transactions mainly regarding Fixed, Determinable, Annual, Periodical (FDAP) income and Effectively Connected Income (ECI) related issues. His client portfolio consists of financial services clients, general business clients and high networth individuals.

Steve is a US Enrolled Agent (EA).

Matthew Kolodziej has over ten years of experience helping companies and individuals obtain visas for investors (EB-5, E-2), skilled workers (H-1B, E-3, TN), and inter-company transferees (L). He has assisted leading technology companies, media organizations, hospitals, financial institutions, think tanks, and non-profits with their international employee mobility needs and has litigated before the immigration agencies, the immigration courts, and the federal courts of appeals. He advises clients on gaining permanent residence based on labor certification (PERM), outstanding research, or extraordinary ability. Prior to joining JLG he was Counsel at an international firm where he assisted major corporations and investors with their global mobility needs, and was a Legislative Fellow with the American Immigration Lawyers Association in Washington, DC, where he provided legal and policy analysis of immigration reform legislation proposed by the 113th Congress. He is fluent in Spanish and French.
