I-94表格是美国海关及边境管理局颁发给外国人，用于记录出入境信息的文件。其内容包括：记录编号、入境时间、持有签证种类、本次访问的最长停留期限，以及一些基本个人信息。I-94表格由海关人工填写并录入系统，因此就有可能出现遗漏或信息出错等情况。

另外，需特别提醒大家，请注意I-94上所标明的截止日期：一是要注意核实该日期是否与海关印章一致，且符合签证类别所允许的期限；二是避免可能出现的逾期滞留，以防给未来入境或身份办理带来麻烦。经常有人误以为在美国可停留的期限以签证所给时间（包括Grace Period）为准。但实则不然，I-94所示截止日期才是入境者在美国合法停留的最终期限。
