根据媒体报道，一名华人女子涉嫌在美国境内进行大范围的签证欺诈。检察官指控一位名叫黄维云的女子，“雇佣”持有OPT的留学生，为他们提供虚假的就业证明。诉讼状指出，黄维云在美经营的公司“Findream”，显示为咨询公司，提供网站开发、数据分析等服务。而联邦人员调查发现，这家公司的业务描述是虚假的，就连员工的照片，也是从其他网站下载得到。

而黄维云真正经营的，是一家在中国注册的名为Chineselookingforjob.com的网站。其从事的业务正是为在美留学生提供虚假的就业证明。客户在网站上寻求帮助之后，将Findream列为他们的雇主。目前，黄维云已在4月3日出庭接受审理。后续案件进展有待进一步报道。
移民局记录显示，2003年至2017年期间，约有1900名持有OPT的留学生将Findream列为他们的雇主。Findream的聘用人数在全美所有公司中排在第10位，领先于Apple、Facebook等大公司。

留学生签证欺诈将面临什么：
从LinkedIn上的数据显示，大部分将Findream列为雇主的留学生，都来自中国。而这些同样涉嫌签证欺诈的留学生，恐将面临被遣返的命运。移民法庭将会向涉嫌欺诈、有犯罪行为或在美逾期滞留的外籍人士发放上庭通知（NTA-Notice to Appearance）。收到NTA的人必须按照通知所规定的时间出庭应诉，如何处理相关事宜请点击这里查看。一旦NTA被签发，就意味着移民法庭已经启动了遣返的操作程序。若对上庭通知置之不理，则很容易会对今后美国签证或移民的申请造成极其负面影响。即使留学生选择自动离境，也应当及时委托移民律师陪同一起出庭应诉。

给留学生的提示：
OPT给留学生提供了至少12个月的在美合法工作的机会。OPT期间，留学生不可以超出90天失业期的限制。（STEM Major OPT学生在OPT extension期间不可以超出150天失业期的限制）。部分留学生担心自己超过失业期仍没找到工作，会考虑先找一家公司挂靠OPT。在这里提醒大家，OPT期间应当选择正规合法的雇主，不要冒险而赌上自己的信用和前途。
